This Early 20th Century English wingback chair in the Edwardian Tradition is a visually engaging and very distinguished looking seating piece, with it’s tall sheltering profile and decorative presence — brass casters make this chair functional and mobile for use in a wide-range of upscale living spaces.
• Classic wingback silhouette with a high, gently arched back and shaped, framing wings
• Broad, rolled arms integrated into the body of the chair
• Richly patterned floral upholstery in hues of blue, teal, and sage on a neutral background
• Vertically channeled inner back
• Generously proportioned loose seat cushion
• Upholstered exterior back mirrors the interior pattern
• Front and rear tapered wooden legs fitted with brass casters
• Very good vintage condition with signs of age-appropriate and gentle use. Upholstery shows general surface wear, including light rubbing and flattening to the seat and arm areas. Minor fabric irregularities and subtle variations in tone visible throughout, particularly on the seat cushion and inner arms. Back upholstery has light wear and gentle softening along edges and seams. Wooden legs exhibit surface wear, including small scuffs, finish loss, and areas of darkened patina near the feet. Underside fabric panel displays discoloration and age-related wear. Overall, this chair is well-preserved with no visible evidence of major structural breaks
