This 19th-Century wingback armchair is a classical seating piece upholstered in a richly toned rose-pink patterned fabric. The chair itself has a strong sculptural presence and traditional form with lots of character that is well-suited for layered interiors and eclectic living space design styles.

Traditional wingback form with a tall arched backrest and pronounced wings that curve forward
Upholstered throughout in a rose-pink fabric with a subtle tonal pattern, and piping along wings, arms, seat edge, and apron
Integrated (not loose) seat cushion
Dark-finished wooden legs with a cabriole profile, which terminate in rounded pad-style feet
Good antique condition consistent with age, use, and prior upholstery work. Surface abrasions, light discoloration and tonal variation across high-contact areas. Seat exhibits noticeable wear, with small areas of fabric thinning and damage upon close-up views (see photos). Additional wear is present along the seat front edge, inner arms, and wing edges. Subtl shading variations visible across upholstery (seat and inner back), consistent with age and use.
Additional fabric wear is present along the seat front edge, inner arms, and wing edges, where rubbing and softening are most apparent. Back upholstery shows even wear from the rear, with no tearing. The underside reveals exposed wood at the frame junctions, indicating prior upholstery work. One underside corner shows a small area of wood loss at the frame joint, and the wooden legs show scuffs and rubbed areas. Structurally sound with no cracks or other visible damage.
