* Carved oak construction
* Server features three defined horizontal levels: a broad upper case with two drawers, an open middle shelf, and a full-width lower platform
* Rectangular top is constructed with a broad central panel framed by a wide perimeter border.
* A boldly carved gadrooned edge runs across the front and sides of the top. T
* Beneath the top are two wide frieze drawers arranged side by side. Each drawer front is carved in high relief with a central grotesque mask set among scrolling leaves, curling tendrils, and layered foliate forms.
* Drawers are bordered by additional carved ornament, including small rounded or pendant-like motifs along the upper and lower edges. The surrounding framework is features molded rails that visually separate the carved frieze from the supports below.
* Carved floral panels appear at the outer corners of the upper case, and the two drawers are constructed with visible dovetail joints.
* Four substantial barley-twist columns support the upper case. Each support is composed of deeply spiraled turning over a rounded base and capital
* The front supports are divided by carved square blocks at the level of the middle shelf with floral rosette motifs, while the middle shelf is broad and open, framed by the turned supports and finished with a molded edge. A repeating pendant or scalloped apron runs beneath its front edge
* The lower section continues with a second set of barley-twist supports, the full-width lower platform is framed by a raised border and enclosed along the front and sides by a deeply carved frieze of upright leaf forms.
* The server rests on low rounded feet positioned beneath the corners.
* Good antique condition with extensive wear, age-related surface variation, and localized damage visible throughout. The top displays numerous scratches, dark marks, stains, abrasions, finish loss, old indentations, small holes, and uneven coloration. Several boards show visible separation at the joints. A significant area of damage is visible at one rear or side corner of the top, where the panel and surrounding border appear separated, chipped, and partially broken. (See photos below) Another portion of the top border shows a narrow open seam with a small void or loss near the joint. Additional minor gaps and movement are visible between the central panel and the surrounding frame. The carved gadrooned edge shows scattered chips, abrasions, rubbed high points, darkening, small losses, and uneven finish. Some carved sections retain sharper definition than others. The drawer fronts remain richly carved but show rubbing, scratches, small chips, finish wear, accumulated residue in recessed areas, and minor losses to projecting details. The grotesque masks and foliate carvings remain visually legible and substantial. The drawers show wear to their upper edges, corners, sides, and dovetail joints. Small chips and losses are visible, particularly at the front corners and along exposed edges. The middle and lower shelves exhibit scratches, dark stains, circular marks, finish variation, dry areas, and minor board separation. The carved floral corner blocks and shelf aprons, barley-twist supports, and lower carved border all show scratches, finish loss, and notable age-related wear. A close view of one lower corner reveals more substantial damage, with loss to the carved molding and adjacent foot area.
