This 19th Century Carved Georgian/Hepplewhite Dining Chairs — Set of 10 is an eloquent display of neoclassical design influences with exquisite carved detailing on each chair. These chairs were last reupholstered in the 1940’s.
Richly patinated hardwood frames – 8 side chairs and 2 armchairs
Fluted tapered legs with squared and molded front posts
Pierced, shield-form backs with classical anthemion and foliate motifs
Arched cres rails the flow into fluted and reeded stiles
Two armchairs with sculpted scroll arms
Turquoise leather seats with brass nailhead trim
Well-preserved in good condition with age-appropriate wear
