]]> This Maitland-Smith Hand-Painted Six-Panel Chinoiserie Room Divider is a grand piece with a timeless decorative presence that can beautifully elevate a myriad of living spaces.

Front hand-painted Chinoiserie tableaux with hues of burnished golds, ambers and espresso and illustrating asian landscapes of imperial pagodas, equestrian figures, and courtly scenes.
Carved, ornate cresting that crowns the top of each panel
High-gloss lacquered surface and decorative gilt flourishes
Fully finished matte-black reverse
Heavy brass hinges
Good and well-maintained condition with tasteful signs of age such as minor rubbing to gilt highlights and small areas of lacquer variation, all consistent with careful use. Crest-carved elements exhibit slight edge rubbing and light touchwear. Panel edges and corners show superficial scuffs, while back surfaces are relatively clean, with no major scratches or abrasions.
